What Tian Tong actually is

Every chart has exactly one Tian Tong — the fifth of the fourteen major stars, in the Zi Wei series. Its element is the whole riddle of the star in one character: Yang Water — the water of the wide river, the water that goes around the stone rather than through it, and calls the valley a destination. What it feels like to be Tian Tong

Tian Tong in the Life Palace is the easiest nature in the chart to be around — and the hardest to be. Optimism here is not a strategy but a metabolism: things genuinely do tend to work out, and this person knows it in their bones. They know how to enjoy — food, comfort, the unhurried afternoon — not as laziness but as a philosophy of what living is for.
