Privacy Policy

We (the operator, Jack Zhang, operating "Yueji AI" at the domains yueji.chat and yueji.ai, hereinafter "we") take your personal information seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have.

1. Information We Collect

1. Account information: the email address you provide when registering; if you sign in with Google, the email identifier your Google account provides. Accounts use email verification codes instead of passwords — we do not store your password.
2. Astrology profile information: the name (or nickname), gender, birth date and time, birthplace, and time zone you provide when using the chart calculation features. This information is the necessary input for chart computation.
3. Generated content: the readings and divination records you unlock or generate, and your AI chat history (including supplementary information you actively provide).
4. Order and payment information: order numbers, amounts, payment channels (WeChat Pay / Alipay / Card via Stripe), and order status generated when you recharge. We do not collect or store your bank card number or payment password — payments are processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor.
5. Technical and log information: IP address (used for rate limiting, anti-abuse, and invite-reward fraud checks), access time, browser identifiers, and basic service logs.

2. How We Use Information

1. To compute your astrology charts (BaZi / Zi Wei Dou Shu / Mei Hua / Liu Yao / Tarot) and generate readings;
2. To process recharge orders, coin credits, and consumption records;
3. To maintain account features such as "My Reports" archiving, daily fortune, and AI chat memory;
4. To verify and distribute invitation and referral rewards (including same-IP checks);
5. To safeguard service security: API rate limiting and prevention of malicious scraping and automated abuse.

3. AI Generation Disclosure (Important)

Your chart is computed by a deterministic calculation engine; however, the reading text is generated by artificial intelligence (a large language model). In this process, your chart input (gender, birth date and time, birthplace) and the computed chart are transmitted to our LLM service provider to generate the interpretation you requested. This transmission is used solely to generate your requested report. AI-generated interpretations may contain inaccuracies — please treat the computed chart data as authoritative. See the Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.

4. Data Storage

1. Your data is stored on servers located in mainland China and overseas (Singapore);
2. Email verification codes are stored in hashed form and periodically purged after expiry;
3. Reports you delete in "My Reports" are no longer displayed and will be removed from backups within a reasonable period;
4. Where laws and regulations require otherwise, those requirements prevail.

5. Information Sharing

1. We do not sell your personal information to any third party;
2. Transmission occurs only where necessary to provide the service: payment processors (Stripe, to complete transactions) and LLM service providers (to generate readings);
3. We will not provide your astrology profiles or reading content to any other third party without your consent;
4. Report sharing: share links you actively generate (containing random tokens) make the shared report visible to anyone holding the link — please share carefully.

6. Local Storage & Cookies

We use browser local storage (localStorage) to keep your login state, interface language preference, and astrology profiles (when not logged in), reducing repetitive input. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

7. Your Rights

1. Access and correct your account and profile information;
2. Request deletion of your account, astrology profiles, or specific reports;
3. Account cancellation: after contacting us, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period (except records required by law to be retained, such as order records).

8. Minors

This service involves astrology culture content and paid features and is not directed at minors under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors; if found, it will be proactively deleted.

9. Policy Changes

We may revise this policy from time to time; revisions will be published on this page. Material changes will be announced via in-site notification or email.
