Yang Earth (戊, Wù) is one of the ten Day Masters in BaZi — the archetype of those whose day-pillar Heavenly Stem is 戊. Its image is the Mountain: immovable, trustworthy, carries the weight others quietly abandon.
Who Yang Earth people are
A Wu (戊) Day Master is the mountain: slow to decide, impossible to push, and the fixed point by which everyone else navigates. Wu people project a calm mass that makes them the default custodian of every group — the one who holds the keys, the plan, the spare tire. They are conservative in the literal sense: they conserve. Trust is their currency and they issue it carefully, but once given it is bedrock. Do not expect speed; expect permanence.

Wu thrives in institutions, infrastructure, real estate, finance, operations — anywhere that rewards being the immovable reliable. Crisis makes them valuable; chaos-theater startups waste them. They lead from the back of the room and somehow the room follows.
How Yang Earth handles money
The natural accumulator. Wu builds wealth the way mountains build soil: slowly, unavoidably. Speculation feels wrong in their bones and usually is. The risk is hoarding — wealth that never moves is a landslide waiting.

Courtship by endurance: Wu simply remains until you understand they are serious. As partners they are shelter — safe, providing, occasionally about as spontaneous as geology. They need someone who reads silence as devotion, and who occasionally detonates a little dynamite for everyone's good.
